I do not have a green thumb. I have tried for years to plant and maintain gardens but I do not have a natural knack for it. I have a larger area in front of my house that was bare for quite some time. Last year I strategically bought 12 plants and a small Crepe Myrtle. The little tree did not come back and I am sad. But, yesterday as I turned into my driveway I couldn’t help but laugh. One plant in particular spread and bloomed out of nowhere. Now, I have a ridiculous flood of flowers that have taken over my front bed. It reminds me on the Chuckle Patch from the Magic Garden, one of my favorite shows as a kid. And when the wind blows, I imagine them laughing. It is silly I know, but it brings a smile to my face.
The lesson here is this. Be careful who you are. Your energy affects everyone around you. Your actions and your words spread from person to person just like my silly flowers. And before you know it, that energy takes over. Be aware of it and grow something wonderful.
