The Year of Letting Go

Standard

I decided this year would be my year of letting go. What will I be letting go of you wonder? Whatever no longer serves me. Today, I have recognized the value of letting my opinion of others actions to come to a halt. Why in the world would I waste my own time and energy wondering about and judging the actions of someone else? For the most part I think I have already come a long way in this department but today I was reminded there is always room for more growth. The truth is, we could never really know the reason anyone does anything at all. We can think we know, but at the end of the day, unless we are actually inside someone’s head we can never really know for sure. Don’t we have enough to worry about when it comes to our own actions anyway? Maybe we should focus on why we do the things we do or better yet, why we continue to do the same old thing that never seems to get us what we really want.

What will you be letting go of this year? I’d love to hear about it.

  1. I enjoyed reading this post. I would also like to let go of having an “opinion” of others and wasting time and energy worrying or griping about things over which I have no control. I would also like to let go of caring so much about what others think, which is easier said than done. I hope to hold onto the belief that at the end of the day I will have made the best decisions for me and my loved ones and that’s all that should matter. ❤

  2. NEITHER I OR ANYONE SHOULD EVER WONDER WHAT SOMEONE HAS LET GO…….DOING THAT CAN ACCIDENTALLY CAUSE THE OTHER PERSON TO RECALL THE THING THAT WAS LET GO!

It is possible to achieve whatever we want to make happen——TRY TO UNDERSTAND THAT THE ABILITY TO DO SO IS EASILY ACHIEVED WITHOUT EFFORT.
WHAT IS NEEDED IS THE EFFORT APPLIED TO OUR DOUBTS AND ACCEPTANCE TO RECEIVING WHAT WE WANT. GETTING WHAT WE WANT IS EASY IF WE CAN ACCEPT ITS ATTAINABILITY WITHOUT DENIABILITY .

    • Interesting perspective. I however believe that shared experiences are encouragement and motivation to keep going. Maybe effort isn’t needed but I believe awareness and consciousness is necessary. I love how we are all so unique and can see things so differently 😉

      • My feelings as well, only met with more caution to avoid falling into the “remember this? Or remove that? Cycle of (living in the past).
I know you are aware of that just wanted to point out how easily it is to reflect (unproductive) in past memories.
**** Just understand that a brain is filled with memories but has no current thought processes until they are presented. —-
THAT SOME (myself included) might accidentally fall victim to
(A possible regression into a mental safety or comfort zone of perceptional knowns) IF WE ARE NOT CAREFUL.

OF COURSE IT IS THROUGH PAST EXPERIENCES THAT WE CAN GROW… Sharing others past experience and knowledge also contributes. ASSOCIATE -REFERENCE – REFLECT- THAN APPLY MOVING FORWARD!

ALSO, I’m glad you mentioned our amazing uniqueness —- DON’T HIDE IT!!! Reveal it to others…..
I CAN NOT SPEAK FOR EVERYONE ESLE—- BUT I PERSONALLY WANT TO HEAR AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE FROM ANOTHER PERSONS VIEWS
