Conflict cannot survive without your participation ~ Wayne Dyer
Are you the kind of person who engages in conflict? A few years ago, I would have said I was most definitely a fighter but the older I get, the more I see conflict as a complete waste of time. I have learned to pick my battles. They are few and far between and slowly but surely, I am learning to zip my lip. I don’t have to have the last word and I don’t have the need to prove I’m right. Most of the time it comes down to perception. It’s okay to have different opinions. Conflict doesn’t solve a single thing. It never has and it never will. I know if I don’t want to play the conflict game then I have the choice to sit it out. It always comes down to the choices we make. Conflict or no conflict? It’s up to you.
Well said.. Strong words

Completely agree with you. The whole being right and having the last word is simply ego.

I think, like you said, it’s about picking and choosing your battles and even then, trying to be constructive and applying empathy will take you much further forward.

Yea, I believe we are slowly losing tact. We think we can argue about anything and do it abrasively. There is so much conflict already. Why add to that when you can choose not to 😉

I choose no conflict. I will deal with drama when necessary, but look to avoid it at all costs!

Conflict is the engagement of two rams (or Aries/Ares) butting heads to see who is more driven or powerful. Whether it’s a gun fight, a knife fight, a fork and spoon fight, a spaghetti western…spaghetti sounds good right about now. Where was I going with this? Oh, never mind. Conflict? No, I’d rather not right now. But, if you corner this cat, be prepared to get scratched. I typically engage in conflict in a defensive manner. You bring the battle, I bring the guns…er, fists. But, if the battle seems senseless, I try to stay out of it.

I personally think you’d be fun to wrestle. 🙂 But, I worry your “passionate” astro energy might knock out some of my teeth or break a bone.

Yes probably! My kids were horrified when a neighbor came over and we leg wrestled lol! She was twice my size and I won. A fierce competitor 😉

Probably the distancing between youth and adulthood, part of that “awkward scene” business that makes the Aries boy laugh uncontrollably.
Yes, you seem like the underdog champ. 🙂

Though, I don’t know how you win at leg wrestling other than exhausting oneself.

me-YOW! 🙂 Well, I have longer and stronger legs, missy. You will not beat me. But, that still doesn’t answer my question. Do you win by exhausting the opponent’s motivation to compete or by simply having the stronger legs, like arm wrestling, one pin and you’re done?

Both. Pretty sure I had stronger legs

You had the stronger legs in your last contest, but I would top you.

Conflict can be solved when both have the same values. Or else it’s hard.

True. Avoid conflict but be a scurvy elephant. I love the Dr Wayne story about him being a scurvy elephant in his life starting he was eight years old. He knew even as a child he was destined to be an ascended master

That’s a great point. I forgot all about that story. It is such an important lesson 🙂
