Can You See in the Dark?

This is such an important quote. There is so muck knowledge in these few words. The question I have is do you understand them? Do you get it? Do these words make sense to you? If so, do you live your life in a way that reflects these words?

I Have A Dream


I look around at some of our leaders today. I have a visual of some of the speeches and quotes and words of dismissal some of these leaders have expressed in place of greater concern for their fellow human beings. Some are even quite embarrassing. There are true heroes in this world. They are the people that inspire us to come together as a people, as vessels of our spirits that express dignity and respect toward all others. What in the world has happened? How have we arrived here today? In honor of a very special man on a day that is meant to honor him and his crusade to bring people together and to encourage people to be better, I would like to share some of the quotes and lessons by Martin Luther King that inspire the way I live today.

“Our lives end the day we become silent about things that matter”

“Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity”

“Our scientific power has outrun our spiritual power. We have guided missiles and misguided men”

I too have a dream, Mr. King. It is for a peaceful world with real leadership once again that inspires each and everyone of us to understand the connection among us. Leadership that strives to make us question what we can do to make our country and our world a better place and stop focusing on what we can get for ourselves. I dream we will stand face to face with people of all color in all countries and see a reflection of love looking back at us. I dream we will see God in everyone around us and stop allowing the evil of men to feed our hate, resentment, and blame. I too have a dream, that someday, we find another leader like you, and realize loving others is the same as loving ourselves. If only…
