Today I had lunch with a few of my neighbors. If you think little acts of kindness go unnoticed and unappreciated I am here to tell you that you are wrong. I was given a gift that went beyond the little gold and white box filled with little cards of inspiration. The thought and kindness that inspired doing something small that had enormous power to lift me up has filled me with hope and gratitude. One small act of kindness can change someone’s day. I know because this wonderful person changed my day and the ripple effect will go deeper and farther than I will ever know. Kindness is beautiful and powerful and selfless. Today, I am grateful for neighbors who take time to look up from their lives to make a difference in mine. I am thankful for kindness and friendship and for the little things that on the hardest, darkest days mean so much. Do something today that sends a message to someone…anyone that you see them, you feel them and you are sharing this beautiful journey beside them. Let them know they are not alone and that kindness is around every corner.
